We're excited to be working with Wayfound to develop a new tourism wayfinding and signage strategy for the Shire of Esperance. Our goal is to make sure all our signs are clear, safe, and engaging, helping visitors enjoy their journey and connect more deeply with our beautiful region.
A draft Signage Strategy has been submitted, including an implementation schedule with low, medium, and high-priority recommendations.
A signage audit of approximately 480 signs has also been undertaken with recommendations on how to improve, update or remove tourism signage in the Shire.
The next phase of the work is the pedestrian wayfinding strategy, which is expected to be completed by July 2025. Once both reports are finalised, they will be presented to the Council for consideration.
This project is guided by the community through the Esperance Tourism Strategy and the Council Plan.
